Founded in 1969, the Birth Centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, VVS Gandhi Centenary School is the Primary wing of the Vidya Vardhaka Sangha. Guided by the motto “Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye” — Education that Liberates — the school has been committed to nurturing young minds through value-based and holistic education for over five decades. The institution strives to provide high-quality education while fostering discipline, compassion, integrity, and a spirit of service among students.

At VVS Gandhi Centenary School, education goes beyond academics. The school believes in the holistic development of every child by integrating culture, spirituality, ethics, heritage, environmental awareness, sports, and creative hobbies into the learning process. Offering classes from Play School (3 years) to Std VII, the institution provides a strong foundation during the formative years of a child's life. With around 1000 students and nearly 60 qualified, dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff members, the school creates a nurturing and joyful environment where children are encouraged to discover their talents, build confidence, and grow into responsible individuals.

Over the years, the school has grown in leaps and bounds while remaining steadfast in its vision of setting high standards in education. Through innovative teaching practices, co-curricular activities, and value-oriented learning experiences, the institution ensures the all-round development of its students. The Academic Resource and Training Centre (ARTC) is an integral constituent of VVS, providing a rich collection of resources in both electronic and physical formats. The major thrust would be to galvanize teachers at all levels to enmesh themselves to enhance their existing teaching-learning expertise to augment 21st Century skills in classroom engagement.

The Centre will reposit all activities held, courses pursued and workshops, seminars or webinars attended. As a token of encouragement, teachers' achievement will be recognized and accoladed.

VVS Gandhi Centenary School is a co-educational institution with English as the medium of instruction, following the Karnataka State Board curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum framework.

Along with prescribed textbooks, the school integrates additional learning resources and technology to enrich education. Spacious, bright, well-ventilated classrooms equipped with ergonomically designed furniture for students, bulletin boards, black boards, and Smart boards – form the essential feature of every classroom.

A well-stocked and digitalised library consisting of over 15,000 books serves as a vast knowledge source for students and teachers. Books, journals, periodicals, magazines, fiction and non-fiction and encyclopedias form the library. Students are encouraged to make active use of the library resources in their day-to-day learning. It is open to the students and staff on all school days.

Arogyadhama

Arogyadhama, a Health Centre with an experienced doctor to attend to the health needs of students and teachers. Annual health checkup is carried out for all the students.
